AUSTIN, Texas – The Austin Police Department is asking for help from the public to solve a hit-and-run that happened in early February.

Authorities responded to reports of a woman who was hit by a car at a gas station in the 700 block of East Ben White Blvd. on Feb. 9, around 2 a.m. 
 
Witnesses reported seeing a truck hit the victim before fleeing westbound on E. Ben White Blvd.  The car is described as a dark green, diesel Dodge pickup truck with a lift kit, oversized wheels and a front brush guard.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, and remains in the hospital, police said in a press conference Wednesday.
