AUSTIN, Texas – Some of the best and brightest students in Central Texas are ready to present their science fair projects at the Austin Energy Science Festival.

More than 2,500 students entered the science competition.

They will present their projects to more than 600 volunteer judges. Austin Energy said the festival is its way of introducing students to science at an early age.

“It’s a lot of fun, it’s a way to engage our students early, get the interested in STEM education, and get them early and get them interested in all things science,” said an Austin Energy spokesperson.

Those who win the festival will move on to the next science festival in San Antonio.
