KYLE, Texas — A 17-year-old was sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to an April 2016 homicide.

Jamez Gabriel Sanchez was originally charged as a juvenile for the slaying of Natanaell Bardales, but he was certified as an adult prior to entering his plea in district court on Feb. 7.

According to police, Sanchez shot Bardales during a drive-by shooting in a Kyle subdivision.

Charges are pending against Sanchez’s co-defendant, Rickson Correa-Cherem.
