ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Following last week’s school shooting in Florida, students from across the country are coming together to protest gun violence.

Multiple nationwide protests are planned in March.

Women’s March Youth has called out to students, teachers and parents to take part in a National School Walkout on March 14.

Rochester students are also getting involved.

“There’s an Albert Einstein quote, 'If you do the same thing repeatedly and expect different results that’s the definition of insanity.' I think that’s exactly what’s going on here is that we’ve done the same thing repeatedly, which is absolutely nothing and we’re expecting mass shootings to stop, which is irrational,” said Grace Myers, a senior at the School of the Arts.

Myers is co-organizing March of Our Lives movement in Rochester with Brighton High School senior Dylan Holcomb. The nationwide protest will take place March 24th.

"We demand gun legislation, gun control now," said Holcomb.
