AUSTIN, Texas — University of Texas police found not one, but two unattended guns on its campuses over the course of 24 hours.

A holstered pistol was left Tuesday in a women’s bathroom at the University of Texas McCombs School of Business. It was eventually claimed by a student who has a license to carry a handgun, according to UT police.

On Wednesday, reports of another pistol found unattended in a women’s bathroom, this time at the Commons Learning Center on UT’s Pickle Research Campus, about 9 miles north of the main campus.

Officers retrieved the weapon, and shortly after, the non-UT affiliate who was attending a conference at the Commons Learning Center came forward to claim it.

UTPD says they’re reporting the incidents to DPS, and will determine if charges can be filed.
