SPICEWOOD, Texas - UPDATE: A boil-only water advisory has been lifted at Lake Travis Middle School. All water services have been restored.

 

 

ORIGINAL STORY: Lake Travis Middle School principal Jodie Villemaire on Tuesday reported a boil-only water advisory for District 8 is affecting Lake Travis Middle School.

The advisory began affecting the campus Tuesday and is in effect until further notice. The following rules are in effect:

  • No drinking: This includes water fountains, ice makers, water dispensers, sinks, etc. Bottled water will be provided for staff and students.
  • No hand washing: Hand sanitizer will be available outside each restroom.
  • Toilets are functioning.
  • No showering: This affects the locker rooms. Coaches will modify workouts to minimize the need for showering.

The café will cook with bottled water. Bottled water will be available in the café during lunch.

When the advisory is lifted, water system officials will notify school officials.
