AUSTIN, Texas — On Tuesday, the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested a man wanted by the Austin Police Department on charges of continuous sexual abuse of a young child.

Raul Martinez-Quintero, 37, was arrested in the 3300 block of Parker Lane in Austin.

According to the affidavit, a victim made an outcry to school officials that Martinez-Quintero forced vaginal intercourse on her numerous times since 2013.

Early Tuesday, task force officers said they developed information that indicated Martinez-Quintero was residing on Parker Lane. Members of the task force initiated surveillance in the area and were able to quickly establish a residence that was known to Martinez-Quintero.

Martinez-Quintero's residence was surrounded and he was asked to come out of the residence. He walked out of the residence, but quickly retreated back inside, where he barricaded for approximately 30 minutes. Task force officers continued to provide verbal instruction for Martinez-Quintero to surrender and comply with law enforcement officials for the outstanding felony warrant.

He was taken into custody without further incident and was remanded to the Travis County Jail. His bond was set at $250,000.

According to Immigration and Customs officials, Martinez-Quintero is a Mexican national who has been deported on three occasions for illegal entry into the United States, twice in 2014 and once in 2017.
