AUSTIN, Texas - Friends are mourning an Austin man who died over the weekend. Andrew Tillin was hit and killed while changing a flat tire on Saturday.

He was a casualty in a wreck between two trucks that pushed one of the trucks in his direction.

Tillin came to Austin roughly 7 years ago and quickly joined a cycling group. Friends in that group describe him as a selfless person who would want to make something out of the tragedy.

“If he were giving me instructions now he would be telling me the message that he wants the community to get form this tragedy is that you have to live in the moment,” said Bradley Lee Houston of Gruppo VOP.

Tillin was 52. He leaves behind his partner and two kids, an ex-wife and a sister.
