AUSTIN, Texas -- A man is recovering this morning after being shot near the State Capitol last night.

Medics say a man in his 30s was shot near Red River and 12th St., just east of the Capitol grounds.

He was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Austin police say several witness saw the suspects run from the scene. When Austin Police officers arrived they arrested three people.

The cause of the shooting is under investigation.
