AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Marathon is expected to cause some traffic delays throughout the city and public transit will be no exception.

Capital Metro said more than 700 bus stops will be closed during the race on Sunday, prompting detours in parts of South, Central and Downtown Austin.

Many of the downtown transfers normally near the capitol will be moved to 12th and Red River.

The detours are expected to remain in effect until about 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Anyone with questions about the detours and delays is urged to call customer service directly at 512-474-1200.
