CHARLOTTE -- Police have made an arrest in a shooting that injured a woman in the University area earlier this month.

On Feb. 5, officers said a woman was found shot at an apartment on Wexford Meadows Lane.

Her 6-month-old was inside the apartment but was not harmed.

Medics took the woman to the hospital.

Authorities have not released her name.

Early Friday morning, police took Curtis Kerr into custody.

He is charged with attempted murder, breaking and entering, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
