WESTLAKE, Texas - Eagles Quarterback and Austin native Nick Foles is giving his hometown something to brag about.

The hot ticket item in Westlake right now is specially-designed t-shirts featuring Foles and his high school alma mater.

"The t-shirt was designed by Nick Foles's mom, Melissa," said Allison Knaupe, president of the Westlake Chaps Club. "It was run by Nick for his approval, and it was also run by the NFL for approval as well."

Foles is now the second quarterback from Westlake High School to win a Super Bowl, joining Saints QB Drew Brees, who graduated a decade before him.

Westlake is now the only public high school in the nation to produce two Super Bowl winning quarterbacks.

"It was an exciting day to be a chaparral," said head coach Todd Dodge. "The t-shirts that they made up, you know, I had my Nick Foles t-shirt on last night and I was wearing it with pride."

The shirts went on sale last week in anticipation of the Super Bowl, and since Foles and the Eagles clinched the title, the demand for them has spiked.

"I've got about 22 right now, I may go back," said Nancy Glass. "I'm going to call some friends and see if they want any more."

"When the relatives in Philly saw them, then they wanted some too, so I came back for more," said Linda Barton. "So I got some more shirts and I'm going to go pack them up and mail them to my son-in-law."

The Chaps Club ordered just over a 1000 of these shirts, and they've already sold a majority of them.

They have no plans of reordering once they sell out, so they're limited edition and once they're gone, that's it.

"They wanted them before the game. They didn't ask for them after. They asked for them before the game because they thought they were so great, and it was so special and they love the design of the shirt," said Barton.

Any remaining t-shirts will be available for purchase for $15 at the Chaps Shop, which is located at the Westlake High School stadium.

Half of the proceeds from the shirt sales will go to the Lone Star Paralysis Foundation, a charity selected by Foles.
