It might be Groundhog Day, but in the West Pole, it's "Armadillo Day." Turns out, Punxsutawney Phil is not the only critter that can predict the weather.

Bee Cave Bob the armadillo has been the state’s own prognosticator of prognosticators for nine years. The annual event’s sponsors, The Benevolent Knights of the Raccoon, bragged that Bee Cave Bob has been 100-percent accurate on his forecasts since he started checking his shadow. This year, he predicts an early spring for Texas.

Despite his celebrity status, Bee Cave Bob had a rough life. Ralph Fisher of Ralph Fisher's Photo Animals rescued the armadillo after a farmer found him injured. He appeared to have been attacked by coyotes, with wounds all over his body and part of his tail missing. Fisher nursed Bee Cave Bob back to health and tried to return him back to the wild, but he didn't want to leave. Since then, Bee Cave Bob has been part of Fisher's family.

Aside from predicting Texas weather, Bee Cave Bob is also known to predict who will be the next President of the United States.
