AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department is investigating a bank robbery that occurred at a Chase Bank on North Lamar Boulevard Wednesday morning.
The robbery happened at approximately 9:45 a.m. The suspect displayed a handgun, demanded cash and left a suspicious package behind.
Suspect described as:
- Black male
- 5’ 9" tall
- Medium Build
Suspect was last seen wearing:
- Green sweatshirt with a white horizontal stripe
- Tan ski-mask
- Blue jeans
He then fled the scene in a silver Chevrolet Malibu with dark tinted windows.
The Austin Police Bomb Squad inspected the suspicious package and confirmed that it did not contain an explosive device. No injuries were reported.
