AUSTIN, Texas - A report of a weapon on campus briefly caused Lyndon B. Johnson High School in Austin to be placed on lockdown Thursday afternoon.

According to an Austin Independent School District spokeswoman, the lockdown was initiated at 1:43 p.m. and lifted at 2:12 p.m.

That spokeswoman said a report of a weapon on campus prompted the lockdown but that there was no immediate report that police had located a weapon.

The high school is located at 7309 Lazy Creek Dr., near the intersection of U.S. Route 290 and U.S. Route 183.
