AUSTIN, Texas — UPDATE: Both lanes of Interstate 35 in North Austin are now open after an 18-wheeler crash.
A large stretch, from Hester's Crossing to Grand Avenue closed during rush hour traffic on Thursday.
Police, were on the scene directing traffic for several hours.
No word on what caused the crash.

TxDOT Austin on Thursday afternoon reported an 18-wheeler crashed through an Interstate 35 median, shutting down three southbound lanes and at least one northbound lane.
The wreck was reported about 2:30 p.m. and took place just north of Grand Avenue Parkway, near mile marker 248.
TxDOT warned motorists of delays in the area.
