NORTH CAROLINA -- Ten more people have died from the flu in North Carolina this season.

Since the start of flu season on Oct. 1, 42 people have fallen victim to the virus.

This makes the death rate about 3 percent higher than it was last year around this time.

Doctors continue to advise North Carolinians to get vaccinated, wash hands frequently, stay away from those with flu-like symptoms.
