MANOR, Texas — Smoking in bars in the city of Manor is no longer allowed.

The Manor City Council approved an ordinance to prohibit smoking in public establishments as well as within 15 feet of the entrance.

In a Facebook post, the City said: “There is no denying the harmful effects of secondhand smoke. This ordinance protects our residents and visitors enjoying Manor establishments from the harmful habit of a select few.”

Places like bars, restaurants and hotels in the city must now put up signs banning smoking. They will have a three-week grace period to inform customers and post their signs.
