SAN ANTONIO — Funeral arrangements have been announced for former state Rep. Ruth Jones McClendon, who died last Tuesday at age 74.

Wednesday, Dec. 27
A rosary will take place 6 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1819 Nevada St.
Thursday, Dec. 28
The funeral service will take place 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Redeemer.
A graveside service will follow at 4 p.m. at the Texas State Cemetery, 909 Navasota St. in Austin.
In lieu of flowers, Jones McClendon’s family has asked that donations be made to the Ruth Jones McClendon Scholarship Fund at St. Philip’s College.
Donations can be mailed to St. Philip’s College, 1801 Martin Luther King Drive, c/o Institutional Advancement, San Antonio 78203. Indicate that the donation is for the Ruth Jones McClendon Scholarship Fund.
