SCHERTZ, Texas – The woman killed on Thursday in Schertz by Bexar County Sheriff's deputies has been identified as Amanda Lene Jones.
Her family first confirmed Jones' death.
Jones, 30, died after being shot by deputies at the Pecan Grove mobile home park after deputies said that she verbally threatened them. The four deputies involved in the shooting are Deputy John Aguillon, Deputy George Herrera, Deputy Jesse Arias and Reserve Deputy Johnny Longoria.
The four deputies are on temporary administrative leave, according to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.
In a Friday afternoon press conference, Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said that Jones entered the home where a man, a young girl and Kameron Prescott, the boy killed in the shootout, were inside, and threatened to steal their vehicle.
Salazar said that investgators found a "tubular" object under the mobile home porch where she was shot.
Officials initially pursued Jones following a call about a stolen vehicle because they said there were multiple warrants out for her arrest. Jones had been booked into the Guadalupe County Jail nine times since 2006 for charges ranging from burglary to drug possession.
Jones' last known address is in Seguin.
