LANCASTER COUTNY , S.C -- A reward is being offered by the owners of a horse which apparently died after being shot. They are offering a $1,000 for information which would lead to an arrest.

A Lancaster County sheriff’s deputy arrived on Nov. 18 when the owners found their horse down and dead from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

They have surveillance cameras on the property, which shows that the horse received the injury at 3 that morning. The cameras also show a vehicle pulling a trailer past the property multiple times between late night and early morning. The trailer had a "distinctive reflective tape" on its side. They also show a light moving across the owners' pasture after 5:30 a.m., which officials note could possibly be a someone with a flashlight.

“We want to help the owners find out what happened to Boss and hold the person who did this accountable.  We hope someone saw or heard something that night or has heard talk in the community and encourage anyone with information about this to contact us,” said Sheriff Barry Faile

If you have any information, you're asked to contact police.
