RALEIGH, N.C. -- The clock is ticking for people still needing to sign up for Affordable Care Act coverage.

This year's deadline is December 15th, which roughly cuts last year's enrollment period in half.

Navigators are available throughout the state this week to help customers enroll and say financial help is still available.

"Last year nine out of 10 North Carolinians that signed up for coverage through the ACA did get financial help, said Jennifer Simmons, Director of NC Navigator Consortium. "For a lot of people, they got help not just with the monthly premiums but also with the cost of actually going to healthcare."
