Our winter weather event wrapped up Saturday, and then we had plenty of cold air stick around through the weekend. We will squeeze in a slightly milder day today with highs in the 48-51 degree range, but another cold front is already knocking on our door.

That next cold front will swing into the region tonight. In the foothills and piedmont, we will only have some clouds tonight into Tuesday morning. However, the northwest-facing slopes of the mountains could pick up 1-2" of snow.

Tuesday will be cool and blustery with highs in the upper 40s and a stiff west wind. Temperatures by Wednesday morning will likely be in the upper teens and lower 20s, and then highs Wednesday will only be in the 30s.

Temperatures will moderate a bit toward the weekend and into early next week, but I see plenty of indications of a cold pattern returning as we approach Christmas.

Please see today's video for all of the details.
