The snow isn't something we see every day in Texas.

"Not since I was born. I was born in '85, so literally I was a few months old when this happened," said San Antonio resident Joanne Castoreno.

The snow seems like it's gone as quickly as it came.

What was once a wintery wonderland at Woodlawn Lake Park is back to a normal hangout spot for wildlife and neighbors on the West Side.

However, what's far from the norm is being without power.

At one point more than 80,000 households lost electricty.

"Around 8:30 the power went out. It was so cold that I couldn't even get up to light my fireplace so I just bundled up inside with a lot of blankets and then it turned back on around 4:30, 5 o'clock in the morning," San Antonio resident Josh Maseda said.

"So we were able to put the pilots on - thank God for that - but it was still too cold because we have wooden floors and it doesn't heat up as fast. So we were able to put our son and girlfriend in the car to warm them up that way as well," Castoreno said.
