HUTTO, Texas - A husband and wife are accused of stealing more than $17,000 from a Hutto, Texas, elementary school parent-teacher association, an affidavit states.

Police believe Clinton Rapp, 46, and his wife, Natalie Hudson-Rapp, fraudulently cashed a series of checks from an account belonging to Ray Elementary PTA beginning in December 2016.

Those checks were cashed at various A+ Federal Credit Unions from December 2016 to June 2017.

An affidavit states Natalie Hudson-Rapp was in fact the vice president of the PTA. The checks require two signatures in order to be cashed and police said another PTA official had been asked to pre-sign several of them.

The pair face charges of third-degree theft, a felony.
