AUSTIN, Texas – Austin police are searching for a man accused of robbing a Wells Fargo bank Wednesday afternoon.

Around 4:28 p.m. the suspect entered the bank on the 11200 block of Interstate 35 and presented a note to an employee demanding money.

Police said the man left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Investigators are interviewing several customers and employees who witnessed the robbery.

The suspect is described as a bearded white man between 40 and 50-years-old. He is between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build. Surveillance images show him wearing a blue jacket, grey hat, blue jeans, black shoes, and glasses.

Due to the weather conditions, police were unable to find the suspect using their helicopter.

No was injured in the robbery. This is the 16th robbery in Austin during 2017.
