AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas Department of Public Safety is offering $35,000 for any information to help solve a 1995 homicide case that left one deputy dead.

Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputy Wilburn Junior Agy was killed in April, 1995. Agy was working his second job at a Houston shopping center as a security guard when he was shot to death.

Around 11 p.m. two armed masked men approached Agy at a video store on Fondren Road. The men shot and killed Agy as he confronted them. Both of the men fled the scene on foot after the shooting.

According to witnesses, the suspects are black males who were both wearing black masks. One of the men is described as 20- to 25-years-old and an estimated 5 feet 5 inches tall. The other man is around 5 feet 10 inches tall.

A cash reward of up to $35,000 is offered to anyone with information about the homicide.
