AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Police Department on Monday afternoon confirmed a motorcyclist was killed in a crash along Research Boulevard.

The crash occurred after 1 p.m. on the northbound Research Boulevard service road near Jamestown Drive.

The motorcyclist, described as a man in his 20s, was declared dead at the scene.

Police said there would be closures in the area urged drivers to avoid it. There were no other immediate reports of further injuries.
