CHARLOTTE -- Millions of people are hitting the roads and the skies Sunday as they return from their Thanksgiving vacation.

It's the busiest air travel day this week, according to Airlines for America.

More than 31,000 passengers are expected to start their travel at the Charlotte Douglas Airport, and another hundred thousands are expected to connect at the airport.

The airport says it's added more than 1,700 parking spaces to its long-term lot 2 this year.

TSA recommends travelers get to the airport about two hours early to catch flights on time.
