HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Open Door Ministries, a nonprofit and homeless shelter in High Point, is working to make sure everyone has a hot meal this Thanksgiving.

Members from the organization and volunteers from the community are coming together to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.

One of the shelter's residents said he's thankful for the organization's generosity.

"It's wonderful, it really is, because it's something that the people here really need," said resident Anthony Tanner.

Organizers say anyone can stop by for meals.

Dinner is served from 6 to 7 p.m.

They expect to serve around 400 people.
