GEORGETOWN, Texas -- The City of Georgetown will start renovations on its civic campus Nov. 28. The goal is to centralize several city offices that are currently scattered around town.

The $13 million project is funded through the sale of city buildings, municipal bonds, and fee revenues, according to a press release sent out by the city.

The old library building will be renovated into the new city hall building. The new building will create centralized offices for city management, the city secretary’s office, the city attorney’s office, economic development, finance, human resources, and the mayor’s office.

The current communication and technology building will be renovated into the new council chambers and municipal court.

Renovations are expected to last a year.
