AUSTIN,  Texas – A man has life-threatening injuries after a home invasion in north Austin on Tuesday afternoon.

Austin police said the 38-year-old man was shot near the 10400 block of Little Pebble Drive around 2:13 p.m. The man was confronted at his home by two men demanding "property," according to Austin Police Sgt. Chris Leleux.

The victim was shot during a disturbance between the two men who fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. Investigators said the victim is conscious at the hospital and was able to give them details about the suspects. 

Police will continue to investigate the shooting. 

"At this point in the investigation I believe it is isolated to this particular residence," said Sgt. Leleux. "I don’t believe there is a threat to the public at large or to the residents in this neighborhood."
