AUSTIN, Texas – With views of downtown and wall to wall graffiti art, the HOPE Outdoor Gallery on Castle Hill has become an iconic part of Austin culture.

As the number of visitors continues to increase, the graffiti art park has announced that they are moving to a new six-acre location on Carson Creek Ranch.

Organizers said the new gallery will offer artists more wall space to let their imaginations run wild. The new permanent home for the gallery will also have art classes for youths and adults.

The paint park is unique to Austin providing a place for muralists, and street artists to leave their unique stamp on the city. According to the HOPE organizers, the new gallery will offer space to expand creations with live art projects and jobs for local artists.

“It’s been an incredible journey finding the perfect permanent home for this project. We had no idea that a temporary art experiment would become so well loved, so internationally recognized, and so needed in our culture and city. This new, evolved art park will be a special place for the community to call their own,” said Andi Scull Cheatham, founder and executive producer of HOPE Gallery Events.

The gallery will remain at the downtown location until June 2018. The Carson Creek location will break ground on construction in early 2018 and is expected to be finished by the end of 2018.

The owner of the gallery’s current downtown location on Baylor Street has been transferred to a real estate development firm.
