TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas – Several police departments are combing forces to target unsafe drivers during the holidays.

Together, Travis County Sheriffs, the Department of Public Safety, Bee Cave police, and Lakeway police hope to reduce crashes as part of the Austin District’s High Visibility Task Force.

The task force will look for unsafe or intoxicated drivers in west Travis County from Nov. 21 through Nov. 24 and Dec. 21 through Dec. 26.

Patrols will focus on State Highway 71, Ranch to Market 2244, Hamilton Pool Road, South Loop 360, Ranch to Market 2322, Ranch to Market 620, and Ranch to Market 2769.

“We wish residents and visitors to Travis County a wonderful holiday season and promise to do our part to assure the safety of motorists on our roadways,” said the Travis County Sheriff's Office's Capt. Craig Smith.
