SAN ANTONIO -- An overnight fire leaves two children in critical condition after being trapped inside their family's burning home.

The San Antonio Fire Department said the house located on the Northwest Side of town was fully engulfed in flamed and the kids were still inside when they arrived.

The parents were trying to break windows to get them out, but were unsuccessful. Fire crews immediately went in to rescue the children and were able to pull them out. The kids were then rushed the hospital. The family's home is a complete loss.

Arson was called to the scene to investigate what caused the fire.
