AUSTIN, Texas — A woman was arrested in Austin after bringing a shotgun to a church daycare.

The Austin Police Department said Linsdey Holeman walked into the Children's Learning Center at the Bannock Burn Baptist Church on Brodie Lane Friday with a child.

According to the affidavit, witnesses told officers Holeman said "There's a gun in my car, I have shells. Look I will give you the shells, I have one for each of you."

One father who heard the statements grabbed his daughter, put her in their car and drove to the front of the parking lot.

The man said he then saw Holeman go back to her car and pointed what looked like a shotgun directly at them. They fled the scene and flagged down an Austin police officer.

Officers said when they got to the church Holeman walked up to them holding a pink shotgun.

Holeman told police she took out the shotgun at the church only to protect other people.

She is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon as well as harassment of a public servant for spitting on an officer after he served her food.
