AUSTIN, Texas -- Meals on Wheels is struggling to keep one of its programs afloat.

The group's Second Meals program offered the most at-risk residents a second plate of food.

At-risk residents are those who don't know when they'll eat next. They can be elderly, homebound or disabled and veterans. A grant which funded this program wasn't renewed meaning 120 residents won't have access to a second meal.

It is the reason leaders at Meals on Wheels are asking for the community's help to keep the program alive for at least another year.

"And that would take approximately $63,650 in order for us to have the resources we need to continue to fund that program," said Meals on Wheels Central Texas President Adam Hauser.
