AUSTIN, Texas -- Prosecutors have closed a bribery investigation without filing charges against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.

The investigation stems from a $100,000 donation to Paxton's legal defense fund.

The money came from an executive who recently settled a Medicare fraud suit with the state. Paxton still faces felony securities fraud charges in a separate case.
