AUSTIN, Texas — Many people know Greta Gerwig as a go-to actress for indie films, she's starred in so many.

Now she's working behind the camera as the writer and director of "Lady Bird."

It served as the Austin Film Festival's opening night film.

"Lady Bird" follows a feisty teenage girl going through a lot of funny and emotional coming of age experiences.

It's already garnering a lot of acclaim for its cast and story.

Our Victor Diaz has more with Gerwig from the red carpet at Paramount Theater.
