CHARLOTTE -- In a graphic video posted to Instagram Friday morning, a young fan dressed in Panthers attire is seen sucker punching another, older fan in the face.

Instagram user Warren C. posted the video and said that both men appeared to be Panthers fans and that the older fan was upset at the younger fan for standing during the game and obstructing his view.

According to the post, words were exchanged between the two before the younger fan took four swings at the older fan's face, hitting him more than once. The group standing near the man receiving the punches worked to stop the other man from throwing additional punches. The Instagram post says the incident happened in section 541 of Bank of America Stadium.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say the victim was a 62-year-old man who was treated on the scene for his injuries.

Later Friday evening, the man who threw the punches was identified as Kyle Adam Maraghy. He was arrested and charged with simple assault.

Friday, the Panthers' Executive Director of Risk Management Lance Emory released a statement Friday:

“We have reviewed video tape of the incident and have identified the perpetrator. We are working with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department to pursue charges to the fullest extent of the law.

“The Carolina Panthers are committed to a fan-friendly and family-friendly stadium experience. The behavior exhibited by the perpetrator is unacceptable and will not be condoned at Bank of America Stadium.”

Maraghy later bailed out of jail. We caught up with him as he left the premises with his lawyer who said the short viral video only shows a portion of what happened. He also called the victim, the aggressor who, "continued to taunt...demean...womanize" Maraghy throughout several quarters of the game.

Maraghy is expected in court October 16.
