AUSTIN, Texas — A woman is dead and two others are injured after being hit by a car in downtown Austin.
Austin police say the people were hit when two cars crashed, and one car lost control hitting the pedestrians on a grassy area.

It happened around 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Cesar Chavez and I-35 service road.
The drivers did stay on the scene and were not hurt.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
