Victoria Maranan considers herself lucky to be in a city as weird as she is. Telling stories about it makes it even sweeter.

Victoria joined Spectrum News in December 2013 as a news anchor/reporter after a three-year stint at KXII News 12. You'll catch her every weekend morning telling you the stories of the day, but she doesn't always spend her days at the anchor desk; she's also out in the field during the week.

Aside from general assignments, Victoria works on Health and Medicine stories every week to clue you in the latest medical breakthroughs. Science has always sparked her interest; she even considered being a doctor, but storytelling won the draw.

A proud Horned Frog in Longhorn Country, Victoria shamelessly wears purple whenever her alma mater plays. She graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in broadcast journalism and a full-time job at KTVT CBS 11 as a production assistant. (Hey, we all started somewhere!)

Whenever she's off the air, Victoria likes to slip on her ballet shoes and spend hours on the dance floor. She also enjoys kayaking and having her own little adventures in the Austin-San Antonio area.
