Reena Diamante joined Spectrum News in March 2016 as the Hays County bureau reporter.

Reena started her career at NY1 News in New York City during the summer of 2013. There, she took ownership of “The New Yorker of the Week” profiles and received the New York Press Club Rev. Mychal Judge Heart of New York Award for reporting “most complimentary of New York City.”  She also filed stories for the Queens and Staten Island bureaus.

As a photographer and field producer for NY1, Reena covered breaking news across the five boroughs and beyond. Her field highlights include the 2016 presidential nominating conventions in Cleveland and Philadelphia, the first presidential debate at Hofstra University and Pope Francis’ historic New York City visit to name a few.

Reena holds a Master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Columbia University. She is a graduate of Rutgers University. When she’s not reporting, Reena is still on the move. She's either taking a barre class, playing tennis, rock climbing, hiking or cycling.

Reena always enjoys hearing from her viewers about story ideas.
