AUSTIN, Texas – The "Live Music Capital of the World" is the No. 1 most popular place to live in the United States right now, according to new data compiled by realtor.com.
Austin is seeing an influx of people coming in from other cities and the population is booming.

However, it should not come as a surprise that so many people want to move to the Capital City.
Austin also ranks No. 3 on the best cities for new grads to start their career list, and No. 1 on US News' overall "Best 100 Places to Live" list.
The realtor.com report looked at three pieces of data to compile its list:
- Census Bureau migration data from 2010 to 2014
- Search traffic on realtor.com.
- Population growth estimates from 2015 to 2017.
