AUSTIN, Texas — Another rally is expected to bring thousands to the State Capitol late Monday morning — This time, advocating for health care.

The crowd will be asking state leaders what their plan is to cover those without insurance.
According to the Texas Medical Association, Texas has the highest percentage of uninsured residents in the country — That's about 4.5 million people including more than 600,000 children.
About 1.2 million Texans purchased health care under the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare.
Now, Congress is threatening to repeal that act, specifically with large cuts to Medicaid, but has not yet proposed a replacement plan that would continue to provide coverage to all those people.
The budget the Texas Senate has proposed includes large cuts to Medicaid as well.
Ralliers will focus specifically on protecting coverage for children, seniors, pregnant women and Texans with disabilities, speaking out against repealing Obamacare, and calling on state lawmakers for a plan that provides coverage to Texans who lack it.
Speakers will include Congressman Lloyd Doggett as well as Rep. Garnet Coleman, D-District 147.
The rally is set to begin at 11 a.m. and last for about an hour.
