AUSTIN, Texas — After months of speculation, Fun Fun Fun Fest has been canceled this year.

Officials with Stratus Properties Incorporated confirmed the music festival will not be held again until next year.

According to the Austin Chronicle, the company hopes to hold the festival next Halloween weekend with a different operating partner.

Rumors of Fun Fun Fun Fest's cancellations have been circulating since the festival was purchased by Stratus in May.

Soon after the festival was sold, festival founder Graham Williams departed from Transmission Events, the parent company that produces the festival. James Moody, another key player in Transmission and Fun Fun Fun Fest, also left the company.

Stratus Properties develops and owns other projects around Austin including the W Hotel.
