Inside a room at Austin Pets Alive! parents work alongside their kids to help give back to the animal shelter.
Ben Ozimek and his dad and sister Lynnea make warmers stuffed with rice for cats to keep warm while they are transported to a new home.
"It's a win-win because I get to be creative and help animals at the same time," Ben said.
They volunteer together once a month.
"We want them to give back and make the world a better place," he said,” Ben’s dad Brian said.
