How do candidates raise money, using or not using state funding through tax dollars?  We hear about swanky parties and the amount it costs per plate – how does this work?  Is campaign finance reform effective or is more needed? We will also discuss political action committees and their role in getting candidates elected. Also, campaign fundraising is not just about a specific candidate – a lot is driven by and collected by political parties.
