SPECTRUM NEWS VIDEO: Patty Farrell, the mother of Laree Farrell Lincoln, will share her story in the documentary Spectrum News is airing May 22 on heroin addiction, and the cost it has on communities statewide. Farrell helped champion the legislation named in honor of her daughter, Laree's Law. It would enable law enforcement to charge drug dealers with homicide if it's proven that the drugs sold by the dealer caused a death. The legislation has passed in the state Senate, but has yet to come to the floor for a vote in the Assembly. Republican Senator George Amedore, co-chair of the Senate's task force on heroin and opioid addiction, joins the show to talk more about the law.
