Steele turned things around during the middle of last season and went on an 8-game win streak before falling in the 4th round of the playoffs to Westlake. Their defense lost a lot but they reload with one of the best secondaries in the state. Cornerback Xavier Player is an Oklahoma St. commit, safety Chace Cromartie is a Texas State commit and junior DB Jaylon Jones is one of the top recruits for 2020. The Knights struggled at QB last season before going with freshman Wyatt Begeal, he returns this season and should lead a talented Steele offense.
